Susan Copeland has owned and operated Copeland Accounting and Tax Service since 1989. She began her career in the accounting field in 1982, earning the credential of an Enrolled Agent in 1996. As an enrolled agent, she specializes in federal taxation and is licensed by the IRS to represent clients at audits, collections, and appeals. Susan has been active in the Washington Association of Accountants since 1992. She served as a board member from 1997 through 2005 and in 2005, she was elected State President. As President she led the association to increase education requirements for members. Membership in other organizations such as the NSA and NAEA gives her the resources necessary to keep current with the tax law. Just this year, Susan has earned the credential of Accredited Retirement Advisor. She now consults with clients on issues relating to aging America: Social security benefits, medicare and medicaid, long term care, protecting assets through effective planning, gift and estate tax law.
